:reload: nHancer 2.5.7

Version 2.5.7
• Bugfix: Not all global settings were working in 2.5.4 and 2.5.6

Version 2.5.6
• Bugfix: 2.5.4 stopped working in XP, this is fixed with this release.
• Bugfix: The AntiAliasing setting "Application" wasn't written correctly in rare cases.
• Bugfix: The HDR Rendering setting wasn't initialized correctly, so it was shown as "disabled" when the setting hasn't been set at all.

Version 2.5.5
• Bugfix: Due to a very stupid mistake nHancer 2.5.4 would only run on english Windows versions...

Version 2.5.4
• nHancer now always adds "Full access" rights for "Everyone" to the directory and the file where the profile database is stored (nvapps.xml). This can fix the problem that profiles aren't working for some games with 190.x drivers.
• nHancer no longer changes the driver database (nvapps.xml) in C:\Windows\system32 in XP (it didn't do that in Vista and Win7). The database in system32 is supposed to reflect the driver standard settings, the customized settings are only stored in ProgramData\nVidia.
• While reading the driver database, unknown attributes in the XML file no longer cause nHancer to fail reading the database. nHancer will display a message with the option to ignore the errors until the driver version changes. This way nHancer is more compatible with upcoming driver releases.
• The function "Profile->Reset all profiles" has been changed to do a better job of restoring the driver's profile database.
• Added a "Save Mode" start icon which causes nHancer to write a start log file (to C:\ProgramData\nHancer\nHancer.log.txt) and suppresses the splash window. Use this if you have a problem starting nHancer. If nHancer still doesn't start, please send me the log file as it's created by nHancer.
• Bugfix: Profile descriptions were incorrectly displayed in Japanese language.
• Added description texts for the new options (non-english languages still missing though!)
• Removed the capability to set a description for a profile. This hasn't been working for some time without anyone noticing it, so I guess no one needs this anyway.

Version 2.5.3 Beta2
• Added compatibility with GeForce driver 190.56 (accepts and stores the "Itemtype" attribute on the PROFILE Tag)
• No longer writes a copy of the profile to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\NVIDIA, instead this version now deletes that copy if it finds it.
• Bugfix: With both Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering the setting "Application" didn't work correctly (i.e. they didn't force the application's own settings no matter what the global settings are set to).

Version 2.5.3 Beta1
• Added compatibility with GeForce driver 190.38
o The UTF-8 BOM is no longer written to nvapps.xml, which caused nVidia's parser in their driver to fail reading that file
o Added 6 new options which were introduced in the last drivers: *Power Management
*Direct3D 9 compatibility
*OpenGL Single Back Depth Buffer
*OpenGL Multi Monitor Buffer
*OpenGL Hybrid SLI mode
*OpenGL support bits 2• Bugfix: Sometimes an error message "couldn't determine checksum" would be shown when reading a backup nvapps.xml
• Bugfix: The color scheme wasn't updated properly when changing the setting

Version 2.5.2
• Added Japanese translations (many thanks to Ethelion Sevenheart)

Version 2.5.1 (first official release of 2.5.x)
• Profile Database is now also written to the current user’s virtual storage. With 185.x the DX9 driver started to read directly from nvapps.xml, and on Vista with active UAC, the driver seems to read from the user’s virtual storage instead of the global data base location. I’m not sure if this is a bug in the driver or an intentional change, in any way, nHancer now makes sure that the application sees the correct profile.
• SLI detection improved: nHancer should now be able to detect a disabled SLI configuration correctly. This is not 100% fail prove, but in any case, SLI is always detected correctly if it’s enabled.
• The “Allow Override of Predefined Settings” option is now stored. I was tired of having to enable it over and over again 

Version 2.5.0 Beta 6
• Corrected the available options in the “Conformant texture clamp” setting.
• Bugfix: nHancer’s window would open when starting automatically with Windows.
• Bugfix: Ambient Occlusion setting was written incorrectly to the registry. This would disable AO permanently for each profile modified by nHancer at least once. To fix all profiles, use “Tools->Write all profiles to registry” or reinstall the driver.
• DPI scaling improved, scaling bugs corrected.
• Several small bug fixes.
• nHancer’s own options (like “Show splash screen”) are no longer deleted from the registry when it’s uninstalled. This way nHancer’s settings will stay in effect when it’s updated (which was requested), but it has the disadvantage of leaving some (inconsequential) data the registry when it’s uninstalled.

Version 2.5.0 Beta 5
• Adapted to be compatible with GeForce driver 182.x (Ambient occlusion and “Launcher” setting disabled with pre 185 drivers).
• Split Compatibility setting into two separate sections for Direct3D und OpenGL
• Moved the Hybrid SLI settings to the SLI tab
• Added a context menu to the profile list and to the executable list
• Added “Print” und “Copy” to the context menu of the GPU info dialog
• Reworked TrayIcon/Window management code:
o Works better with Windows 7 task bar
o No longer shown in the Alt-Tab sequence and TaskManager when only shown as TrayIcon (nHancer window closed)
o Minimize no longer closes the window when TrayIcon option activated
• Bugfix: It wasn’t possible to enter any values in various input boxes (input was stolen by the filter text box)
• The installer will now automatically shut down the nHancer Service during an update without any user interaction

Version 2.5.0 Beta 3
• Optimized the update of the profile list while entering a name filter.
• Optimized the update of the profile list when changing the profile filter and fixed a couple of smaller bugs with the profile filter.
• Updated the Transparency Supersamling Anti-Aliasing value to match the value used in 185.x
• Ambient Occlusion can now always be enabled globally (in a profile it can only be enabled if the profile also contains AO compatibility flags. It still seems that the AO enabled option still doesn’t work in profiles, but this is a bug in the driver, not in nHancer).
• Bugfix: A profile changed by nVidia’s control panel disappeared from the profile list when the filter “Predefined profiles of installed applications” was active.

Version 2.5.0 Beta 2
• Added an elaborate new “Show GPU info” function
• It’s now possible to change the “Use Ambient Occlusion” check button even though the AO-Flags have been predefined by nVidia.
• Bugfix: OpenGL games are now also affected when VSync is forced through nHancer (this bug must have been in nHancer since its inception… and nobody noticed it, including me…  ).
• Layout of the SLI tabs corrected.
• Modified the nHancer installer routine so that the window size and the position of the splitter bars are reset during the installation, hopefully solving the problems some user had with a corrupted UI layout of nHancer after an update.

Version 2.5.0 Beta 1
• Switched to .NET 3.5
• Using the now officially documented NVAPI to detect nVidia cards, the installed driver and the current SLI configuration. This should now allow a very robust SLI detection.
• Replaced the deprecated “Forceware” name with “GeForce driver” throughout the project.
• Removed the support for all drivers older than 185.x. The result is a much cleaner code.
• Added new icons from Michael Wenz
• Added Ambient Occlusion options
• Updated all AntiAliasing compatibility flags descriptions to the current driver (185.68)
• Adapted SLI Anti-Aliasing options to the current driver
• Removed handling for pre-G80 cards. All cards are now treated the same.
• Removed workaround for the driver’s incorrect handling of the “OpenGL driver extension limit” setting since the current driver does this correctly now. (Thanks to Michael for reporting that!).

Version 2.4.6
• Improved auto-import of profiles after a new driver has been installed. This should fix the reoccurring appearance of the auto-import window after nHancer’s is started.
• Fixed problems (crashes etc.) with the update of the profile list when deleting or renaming a profile.

Version 2.4.5
• Added detection for new chips.
