Hello mate, thanks having time for an interview. First of all, tell us something about yourself.

Hello to everyone, I'm 20 years old, named Dmitriy, living in Moscow and playing CoD4. All this combined with current two educations. Been playing the Call of Duty series since the release of CoD1, played for team Russia in CoD1 & CoD2 also. My ex-teams is Squad CF,. And my present team is Team Empire.

The question every wants to hear: What does that [Mt] stand for?

Ahhahh, if only you knew how many times I was asked about this . We had a match today versus Team Malta - their short name on CB is written as "MT", so someone may consider me as their fan . Haha no just kidding, [Mt] once was just a prefix of me and my brother when we were public warriors and I'm keeping it for originality. Recently I'm using the nickname Dim4a (Russian transcription, reads as "Dimcha") on ClanBase, because Empire.[Mt]Dmitriy is too long and CoD4 cuts off last letters.

How would you describe the CoD4 community in Russia?

Almost all Russian teams from CoD2 proceed to CoD4. We have 5 top teams now, which are Team Empire, Squad CF, prior, Lyra, eXtreme, others are showing some middling results. Soon we will have our first Russian prized online tournament named BeFirst4 which will start in February with a prize fund from about 900$. And we have some promises about the insertion of CoD4 as one of the discipline games in the famous Asus Cup series.

Tonight was actually your first match. Your faced Malta, which managed to give Poland a hard time some days ago. How did you prepared for this match?

We were surprised when Malta almost beat Team Poland. There are few reasons: first, in CoD4 we have a nicely working antilag (which was always turned off in CoD2), second: I think everyone noticed that there is lack of high skilled Polish teams on ClanBase, many teams played nicely in CoD2, but are not able to show the same results in CoD4. About us: we have a hard time with our line-up, to be honest I shouldnt played today, because Team Empire decided not to play for team Russia and concentrate more on own development and skills. Because playing in a NationsCup takes away trainingtime from your team and they will idle without you. And that is a problem for every Nation team I suppose.

You've been placed in group D, what are your further expectations about this group?

Team Germany and Team Austria are our main opponents. Match with Malta will show us what chances we have in this group. In general we think we are strong enough to make it to playoffs, in CoD2 russians were barely seen at first page of Clanbase ladders, but now many European players know what Team Empire and Squad CF players are capable of.

The CoD4 scene is getting bigger and bigger by the day. How would you describe the European CoD4 scene?

CoD always was a game of "second line", because there are leaders like CS and CSS in 5on5 shooters and cup organizers are often following a traditional way when they a picking games to fill the cup disciplines. CoD4 brought us wallbanging and nice dynamics compared to CoD2, but it's still can't provide more than CS or CS:S. Yes, our game has better graphics, more complex maps for strong teamplay and so on, but we don't have CoDTV for example. I don't know if it's a matter of time when 3d-shooter players won't stick to prehistoric game like cs and turn their sights to a CoD series, hope that idea "everything in our world has an end" will work here

What are your thoughts about the future of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare?

It was more easy for me to switch to CoD4 from CoD2 than from CoD1 to CoD2, before CoD4 was released I was really sick off CoD2 :] Wallbanging is a main feature for me, also this game has new graphics and details, change of historical epoch was quite nice too and everything in well known wrapper called Call of Duty. Also in Search & Destroy the "main action" in every round is way more intense compared to CoD2. Everything is faster and requirs more attention, fast minded work and of course teamplay. It's simple to kill someone if you spotted him. I think it's a great show to watch CoD4 S&D matches from free spectator, very impressive for common viewer. Now CoD4 is on third place in player activity rating and server count, it has very fast start for new discipline and I think CoD4 has great future.

Who will be the big surprise of this CoD4 S&D NationsCup, not including Russia?

It's hard to predict something, because it's the first CoD4 NationsCup and it's possible for everyone to be the "big surprise", like team Malta almost beat team Poland. I think we will see a lot of such matches in this NationsCup.

Do you have any rituals both online and offline, that might help you guys start a match properly?

Just warm up before a match, we have a nice community support, at least we had in CoD2 Nation cups . Everyone thinks about his responsibilities to the national team and to Russian CoD-community and trying to do his best.

How do you control your anger, if things don't go the way you want it?

Its true that you're more nervous when playing for a nation team, you have responsibilities. But everyone keeps his anger and emotions inside and under control knowing that the result is the most important thing in these kind of games.

Some quick questions to finish:

- Winner NC XI?
Team Russia
- Most underrated team in NC XI?
Team Portugal
- Favourite NC XI team besides your own?
Team Sweden
- Most surprising team that got in?
Team Malta
- Favourite map?
mp_crossfire
- Favourite weapon?
M16

Any shout-outs?

Allnoobs !

Dmitriy thanks for your time, and good luck in your next matches!

Thanks you for your attention and work, I hope Europe will be more interested in our Russian CoD society in the future .
