I have Evernote 2, should I switch to Evernote 3?
Yes, but maybe not in one-fell-swoop. Evernote 3 is more powerful than any previous version of Evernote, but it is also different. Now, the notes you create are accessible on multiple computers and devices at once. For example, you can take notes, clip web pages on your work computer, then access those same notes on your home computer, or from the web. We encourage you to run the new Evernote in parallel with the version of Evernote you use, as you get to know the new software.
What's different?
There are a number of major differences between the new Evernote and previous versions, here is a shortlist:
* New downloads: Download Evernote for Windows, Mac, Windows Mobile, and iPhone
* No download required: Access Evernote on the web and on your web-enabled phone
* Accounts: In order to use Evernote you must create a FREE account, here.
* Full synchronization: Access your notes from multiple places, on multiple platforms
* Advanced technologies: All users have access to our powerful image recognition technology, which makes it possible to search for text with images.
These are some of the more noticeable changes. There are also countless improvements and enhancements below the surface, which is why this is the greatest version of Evernote, ever.
